City Center’ residential
component will feature One City Place, a 35-story, 311 apartment
rental high rise which began leasing in April 2004. The Lofts at
City Center, an 11-story, 29 unit loft style condominium is slated
for occupancy in Summer 2005 and Trump Tower, a 35-story, 212 unit
luxury condominium will be open in the Summer of 2005.
To further enhance City Center, Cappelli Enterprises has created,
in conjunction with the City of White Plains, a new urban park with
dancing fountains directly across the street at the intersection
of Main Street and Mamaroneck Avenue. The new park features a landscaped
lawn, seasonal plantings, a series of fountains with colored jets
of water that shoot 25 feet into the air and are choreographed to
music, and a new Starbucks housed in a greenhouse style kiosk. Plans
are being developed for a program of outdoor performances.
A second park plaza is located between the retail/entertainment
center and parking structure and will feature seasonal plantings
and landscaping, kiosks and vendors to serve as a gathering place.
The plaza extends to the condominium residential area to provide
a passive park setting. |
