| Event to Feature Swing Band,
Food and Festivities
White Plains, NY (July 2004) – Cappelli Enterprises will
host an exciting "Summer Night's Swing" at Renaissance
Fountain Plaza, directly across from City Center at Main Street
and Mamaroneck Avenue on Wednesday, August 11, beginning at 6:00
p.m. (rain date August 12). The "Summer Night's Swing"
will be an evening of swing dancing, complete with a live band,
food, and entertainment.
The event is open to the public and admission is FREE. Sponsors
include Cappelli Enterprises, the City of White Plains, Applebee's
restaurant, Barnes & Noble, Legal Sea Foods, Zanaro's Italian
restaurant, the White Plains Performing Arts Center and Arthur Murray
White Plains Dance Studio.
"We could thing of no better way to show our appreciation
to the people who live and work in the White Plains area for their
unbelievable support of the City Center complex," said Marge
Schneider, Vice President of Cappelli Enterprises, the City Center
developer. "We're looking forward to a very special evening,
and hope that 'Summer Night's Swing' will become an annual event."
Applebee's, Legal Sea Foods, and Barnes & Noble will offer
free refreshments from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The entertainment will
begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Benson-Scott 20-piece Big Band and professional
dancers from the Arthur Murray dance studio. The dancers will help
to get the giant dance party started and will conduct a large group
dance lesson.
The evening will also include a special appearance by Robert Royston,
choreographer of the Broadway show, "Swing." A four-time
U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion, Mr. Royston has been featured on
the "Today Show," "The View," "Macy's Thanksgiving
Day Parade," and others. He is also an instructor at Dance
Manhattan. Mr. Royston and his partner, Nicola Royston, will dazzle
the audience with a swing dance exhibition.
From 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., participants can enjoy a delicious
assortment of desserts, courtesy of Zanaro's Italian restaurant,
just across the street from Fountain Plaza. Parking for the event
will be available at the City Center garage.
City Center, a 1.1 million-square-foot retail, entertainment and
residential complex includes: a 150,000-square-foot Target; an 88,000-square-foot
National Amusements Cinema with 15 screens; a 38,000-square-foot
Circuit City; a 27,000-square-foot Barnes and Noble; a 36,000-square
foot New York Sports Club facility, opening next winter; a 25,000-square-foot
Office Max; a
17,000-square-foot Performing Arts Theater; an 8,000-square-foot
Legal Sea Foods; an 8,000-square-foot Zanaro's Italian Restaurant,
a 6,500-square-foot Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar; a 6,600-square-foot
Fleet Bank, opening in Winter 2004 ; a 5,300-square-foot Atlanta
Bread Company; a 1,500-square-foot Cold Stone Creamery; and a 3,700-square-foot

City Center also includes two 35-story luxury apartment towers
offering panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, Long Island Sound,
Westchester County and the Hudson Valley, plus a So-Ho style "loft"
building. One City Place, now open, includes 311 studio, one, two
and three-bedroom luxury rental apartments.
Trump Tower at City Center, a 35-story tower with 212 luxury condominium
residences, will be ready for summer 2005 occupancy. The Lofts at
City Center, opening the summer of 2005, is an 11-story building
